Triangle Legal Solutions is a one-person law firm providing corporate and transactional legal counsel to companies in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina that are involved in development, commercialization, or use of advanced technologies. TLS’s attorney Ted Harper has an unusual background particularly suited for this work.

For legal departments of larger companies seeking senior-level capacity at low cost and without adding overhead, we provide specialized assistance with agreements for development, acquisition, or licensing of technology, as well as general contracts and projects assistance. For longer-term clients we function as a sort of “adjunct” member of the legal department.

For smaller companies without in-house lawyers, we provide general counsel services and assist with formation, organization, financing, and operational legal issues. When matters arise that are outside our area of practice, such as intellectual property prosecution or employment or litigation matters, we assist in locating and, if the client desires, supervising other attorneys with suitable expertise.
